Revelation 3:15-16– “I know your deeds; you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were one or the other. So because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of My mouth!“
Good morning again everyone! How is everyone? I have a touch of this cold going around so in combination with my knee pain and that, I have felt better to say the least. With that said, it always could be worse and this morning I am just grateful to have breath in my lungs. Amen? Now on to the message at hand…
Please keep in mind as you read this that I am talking to myself as well and I am always in a “no-judgment” zone. It is up to God to judge our lives not mine; I am only here to help guide others towards the Truth according to our Savior. So, with that said I have a question; are you playing both sides of the spiritual fence this morning?
I mean let us be honest; don’t we all do things that we know Jesus wouldn’t approve of and in some version of reality we live in we think that He won’t notice? Worst of all we think what we are doing is ok because we are saved and now we will be forgiven. Well, that is true we are forgiven, however, when we INTENTIONALLY do things that we know are not of God, what does that say about our Salvation? Was it even real? Was it something we were coerced into? Maybe it was just a feeling that we created so we could live with our current situation. Only you and God know but in the verse above, He is very clear on His thoughts about playing both sides of the fence.
Friends, we all fall short and make mistakes. This doesn’t stop when we come to Jesus Christ as Savior. Simply, we live in a fallen world and will continue to trip up until He comes back and restores things to the way they were before the fall. The message this morning is that we should not STRIVE and INTEND to do those things that we know in our hearts are wrong. Justify them however you like, they are still wrong. Most of this comes with experience and time, however, seemingly that time is getting short. We must strive daily to become less like us and the world and be more like Him.
Our intent means alot to God; what is yours today……
LOVE, FAITH, and PEACE,
