Be Real

Psalms 139:23 -“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts”

GOOD SUNDAY Morning everyone. Here I am once again on the other side of Michigan visiting family and going to a Birthday party. Things are always interesting when we come over here to say the least so as always, SAY A PRAYER!

So LETS BE REAL today shall we? In the spirit of being real, let me point out a couple of things..

1. God knows what is in your heart before even you do… Make no mistake; nothing you are feeling is a mystery from God. He created you, molded you, and knows more about you than anyone ever could.

2. What is in your heart will always manifest out in some way… So often we try and put on this fake Christian mask for others but eventually, what is festering inside of us will work its way out. Sound familiar?

So, why is it so important that we be real with what is in our hearts? Because, if we aren’t real with ourselves, God can never take us to the next level in our relationship both with Him AND in our daily lives. Cuss a lot? Be real! Have an addiction problem? Be real! Now we don’t want to STAY where we are at; we should always be striving to become more like Christ, but to become more like Christ we need to be truthful about where we are. Again, sound familiar?

I have always said in my life I would rather have people that are real with me no matter how it comes across than to be something they are not; Jesus wants the same. He wants to take the mess that we are and make some REAL change in not only our eternal destination, but in the life that we are living right now. We can live a joyful life, but first we must BE REAL!

Have a Blessed Sunday my friend,
