Disturbed

Hello friends and welcome back to my weekly blog post. I have been having a few more throughout the week, however, only on Saturday’s will I post my longer thoughts. Hope everyone had a great week and is ready for the weekend! Ok friends, hold on, this could be another doozy…

I think this week I have finally figured out the problem. What is the problem you ask? Well for a while I have prayed about and wondered why it seemed that not only were few people coming to Christ as Savior but even now people are starting to publicly renounce their faith in Christ. (Or as many have put it, in Christianity). This week though I feel as if my eyes have been opened to the reason; its us….

By us I mean us as believers. We are more divided than ever before and that Light that we once had has flickered out and all we are left with is the smoke…The passion we once had is gone, the love we had for others is gone, the drive to listen to others and lovingly show them there is a better way is gone. Not from everyone mind you but enough of us that it has made a crippling impact on the world and especially the Church.

We are more interested in being right than about telling others about Jesus. We are more interested in posting Scriptures that we ourselves don’t even live by than showing others the love of Jesus. In fact, I would go as far as to say that most people could not tell the difference between God’s people and the people of the world. I mean if I am unsaved looking for Truth and I see that the Church can’t even get along with each other, what reason would I have to look to them for answers?

Friends, we need to change and change quick. The time has almost arrived when there will no longer be the option to accept Jesus Christ as Savior on our own. Make no mistake, one way or another all of humanity will bow before the King of Kings and confess that Jesus is Lord. Only for those that wait until that fateful day it will be too late. Guess what? We will also be held accountable for that! For not sharing the one thing Jesus asked us to do; tell others the Good News!

Instead what we will have showed is judgment, lack of Grace, and in some ways the very traits of Lucifer himself; full of pride and arrogance. There is still time though to change our ways, change our hearts, and get back to our first love. The Love and passion we had when we first encountered Christ. The moment where that friend, that Pastor, that stranger even took the time to listen to our needs and then show them how Christ can take care of every one….

Can we do that today? Or will we continue on the same dark path leading people astray; even some of our own….

Make today count.
