First Week Back!

As promised I am back! Like my coffee mug? A dear sister in Christ gave this to me for Christmas and it has quickly become one of my favorite. I am quite the collector of coffee mugs so if you feel like the Lord has led you to donate one to yours truly, PM me and I will gladly send you my address. 🙂

So, it has been an interesting first week back. It was really good to get out of the house and once again contribute to society. Don’t get me wrong, work is still work; not much has changed but it pays my bills for now so for that I am grateful. It was also interesting because apparently the North Pole has moved southward and now resides over Michigan. I am not kidding when I say that since Wed it has just NOW stopped snowing. Doesn’t make good conditions for someone trying not to fall with a new hip….But we must need it so for that too I am grateful.

Finally, one thing this week has done has gotten me thinking about the future and the present. Back in 2007 when we first made this God driven leap to Michigan we were not really sure why. It because apparent though that the move was necessary for our boys to meet their future wives and develop families of their own. Well, that mission is now accomplished. Our boys are all now adults and have their own lives that have become increasingly distant from ours. That isn’t a bad thing but just makes our presence here no longer necessary. So the process has begun for me to really begin praying about what God wants next.

My bride and I really can’t take the bitter cold and snow much longer as well as we need to go somewhere that provides opportunities for us to take that next step as a married couple. (Unless you love snow there really isn’t much to do up here). We need to discover LAK (Life after kids) and enjoy our time together even more than ever. While I was recovering one thing became very clear; our time here on Earth is SO short; got to make the best of it and prepare yourself for the next life; our eternal one.

Well friends, that is all I have for now. Everyone have a great day and I might post something else later. Remember, SMILE!

Peace,

David

Done!

Finished! Finished my 3 months of PT today with only home exercises now on the agenda. Hard to believe it’s been 3 months since I started but ready and encouraged to take the next step in my transformation.

Happy Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Wouldn’t be right if I didn’t show a picture of my two grandchildren during our Christmas morning. As usual we spent more money than we probably should have but when your grandchildren scream with excitement that “this is what I wanted” and run to you with hugs, it makes it all worth it. I’m always torn with this subject as Christmas is not about presents and trees and lights, however it is about giving and if you can’t give to your family then who can you give to? Besides, who can resist those cute faces 🙂

So, I hope you all had an awesome Christmas Day with family and friends. We did; its always hard though when the day ends because it was so good you want those times to last forever. Good thing is that someday we won’t have to worry about leaving our loved ones because if we have trusted Jesus Christ as our Savior, we will be spending eternity with them! Amen?

Lastly today, this is my last week before going back to work next Tuesday. I can hardly believe that it has been almost three months since my surgery. I still have about one more month of PT but that is basically to build back up my strength in my hip area and especially my knee which clearly still did not like all the twisting and jerking that went on to get this piece of Titanium into my body. Especially living in Michigan where today the high is 14…..Praying for the opportunity to move back down south I tell ya….

Ok friends, keep smiling and spend today doing just one thing for someone else. Remove that veil that everything is awful and show someone that there is a better way. Not the legalistic set of rules of the religion of Christianity but the actual teachings of Jesus Christ. Amen? Amen. Peace out friends, talk to you all soon.

SMILE,

David

Just Prayers…

Colossians.1.11a-Pray-StrengthEndurancePatience

Hello everyone and welcome to Tuesday. There are so many things to which I could address to concerning this act of evil played out in Las Vegas. However, as I am finding out, no one will ever agree on the human solution so really its pointless to argue about it. Guns, no guns. Stricter laws, looser laws. The debate really never materializes, it simply turns into a shouting match between two people who think they are right and unwilling to listen to each other. So, I offer only this today, PRAY.

We also pray that you will be strengthened with ALL His glorious power so                you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with            joy.”-  Colossians 1:11

Make no mistake my friends, God will step in and end this once and for all, but once He does its done so today, pray that God would open up your heart to Him and that you would simply give all of who you are to our Savior. There is no turning back once the war is stopped and you will find yourself on one side or the other; which this day do you choose? Its not about guns, its not even about evil because Good has already won, we just need to walk through the victory lane. It is however all about the Spiritual Warfare in the unseen places that is now starting to be seen. It will get much worse my friends, but with Jesus in our hearts and taking over our lives, we will be strengthened until that glorious day when it can be said once again, IT IS FINISHED.

Peace, Love, and Truth,

David
