Have You Been Crucified?

Galatians 5:24-“And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”

Galations 5 24

Hello everyone; I hope your weekend is going magical! As I get closer to my Disney World vacation in October, you will slowly see many references to said mouse. Hope they don’t get too annoying but Mickey is a pretty big deal to the Fischer Family. 🙂

So, about my question, have you been crucified? Its really an important question because without it, you are 10 steps behind where you need to be; or should I say where you could be…See the Bible could not be more clear about our relationship with Christ and what is required. We do have to be careful because we still live in a sin filled world and will continue to sin in ways we don’t even realize until the resurrection. However in this case, intent means almost as much as the action itself.

Clearly God does not want us nailed to a Cross like Jesus did; that would negate the need for Jesus as then we could take care of our own sin problem. He does however want us to nail our passions and desires there instead. For example; how many times a day do you say, “I want this” or “my passion for life is this”. I do it, you do it, we all do it, but that is because we haven’t fully given ourselves to Him. Still clinging on to Lucifer’s realm with that last tiny bit of hope that we can stay in control. That way we can put Jesus on the shelf for the big things while still controlling our destiny. WRONG; its not the way it works folks.

I blame in part the Church; we preach this message of “I can do anything through Christ Jesus” which is very true but NOT from OUR passions and OUR desires but HIS! See, you can’t put the cart before the horse here; to achieve all that we are meant to achieve, our flesh (OUR passions and desires) must be crucified and then replaced with those of our Lord. THEN through Christ Jesus we can do all things. See the difference?

Makes me so mad when I hear this preached wrong for it is another form of bondage that most Christians can never escape from. Always wondering why they can never achieve what is “on their heart to do”. Why things never work out the way they want them to; this folks is why. You MUST crucify the flesh and all that it wants!

Friends, it comes in steps. So today I ask you, what is one passion or want that you can give to Lord to put on the Cross? Just one simple thing for God, can you do that? I assure you, He will replace that with something more fulfilling than anything you could have imagined……Have a great Saturday peeps!

**Authors Note** I have always and will continue to do make these messages free of charge to bring what God has given me to all of you. If God allows, I would like eventually to take my writing further and do this as a full time assignment, so if you can or would like to help in any way financially to help me achieve this goal, please email me at damar19911996@gmail.com and I can give you a way to do that. Thank you so much either way for your support and your love.

Loyalty

Good morning friends!

James 4:8 -“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”

Keep in mind friends, James is talking to believers here. Is your loyalty divided?

More to come,

David

Glorifying God

Reblogging for my peeps!

All You Need is Jesus

A life that glorifies God is a life that reveals God

Beth Moore

Image result for please God not manDoes my life glorify God? In all that I say and do, does my life reflect Him? It’s a question I ask myself constantly.

Life can get overwhelming at times, we all know this. And in those difficult times, are we focusing on the Creator rather than the created? Is our focus half-hearted? Or does our light shine before men, oozing out Christ’s love for others?

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

I’m Back!

img_0784

Good morning friends! It seems like it has been forever since I’ve written anything of substance. I made a pact to use as little technology on vacation as possible, then I got sick. So the combination of the two made posting quite difficult. While I am still sick, I’m really trying to get back into a routine so here I am! I appreciate all of the prayers and support and would ask for you to continue to take our family to the Father as the medical issues never seem to end in our world….Thank God that He promises us one day this will all change amen?

1 John 4:19- “We love because he first loved us”

One thing I have noticed in my hiatus is a disturbing movement which unfortunately seems to be growing. In short, we have forgotten how to love..We have become so obsessed with telling others how wrong they are living that two things have happened.

  1. We have stopped living through Christ ourselves.
  2. We are driving people further away from Christ than bringing them closer

For the record, just because you preface a statement by saying “I say this in love” does not make it a loving statement. Whether intentional or not, we have allowed Satan to creep in and have convinced us that we are gods ourselves who can place judgment on anyone that does not fit within our box of religion. Is this really the example Jesus set for us? Did Jesus ever bring people into the Kingdom by shaming them or as we like to call it now exposing them? No, He did it by not just saying He loved them but by SHOWING them. Should we not follow His lead?

Yes, we are called to correct others when they speak false doctrine, but there is a way to do it and a way not to do it. Friends, Jesus let His actions speak most of the time and so should we. Amen?

Have a great day my friends and its good to be back!

Agape Love,

David
