Glorifying God

Reblogging for my peeps!

All You Need is Jesus

A life that glorifies God is a life that reveals God

Life can get overwhelming at times, we all know this. And in those difficult times, are we focusing on the Creator rather than the created? Is our focus half-hearted? Or does our light shine before men, oozing out Christ’s love for others?

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:14-16

Dream Big, Dream Often

As most of my followers know I am big into helping other bloggers gain more exposure. My goal has been to grow a community of like-minded people and I am part way to my goal.  I am bringing back the open call to leave a link and I’ll share it for you!!

To get a reblog you must do the following:

  1. leave me a link to your page, and
  2. Share this post with your followers.

Each day I’ll randomly select 3 links to reblog.  I’m not sure it gets much simpler.  You can leave as many links as you want and I’ll cycle this post from day-to-day so more people can jump on board.

Drives Me Crazy

Good Saturday morning everyone! Hope you all had a great week and are ready for some down time. I’m sure ready for some “non-excitement” for a while. Things have been too crazy for my liking, amen? Speaking of crazy, this was on my heart this morning after reading a few things and had to share….Ready?

So, when I started this blog, I pointed out that part of the message I had was to expose those that are preaching at best ignorance and at worst a totally false prophet message. This is one of those days….Every time I turn around lately I’m seeing this…

  1. You can’t be a Christian if……
  2. Your faith in Jesus isn’t real if….
  3. If your not doing this, you can’t call yourself a Christian

Just typing those words makes me mad. Why? Because let me be very clear, NO ONE knows the true relationship between someone and God other than, yep you guessed it, someone and God. Yes,

  • Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.  You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?  Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”(Matthew 7:15-20)

The problem most people have in understanding this verse is that we assign works that WE think are righteous and good and not necessarily what God does. The key part of this verse is “but inwardly they are ravenous wolves”. Are you and I so smart and in tune with our Spirit that we can truly make a judgement on the intent of someone’s soul? I’ve tried that game before and been wrong every time.

I have seen many people in the ministry that have testified later on that they had never committed to Jesus as their Savior yet played the part perfectly. Does it not make sense then also that what may appear to be bad fruit in someone is really good fruit, just from a different perspective? Are we so perfect that we have a hold on exactly what is good and what is evil? I think not; I think there is only One that can make that call and it is none of us my friends…..

So please, STOP making assumptions on someone’s salvation based on what you see. Your vision is probably distorted and it is not up to us to judge where others are in their walk. Stop being pulled by the strings of Religion and get to understand the true nature of Christ. Amen?

Who Would Be Interested?

So because I would at some point like to write to earn my income, I’m taking a survey for an idea I had.

I am thinking of putting together a collage so to speak of my daily devotionals into one e-book format. Who would be willing to pay for such a devotional? Please comment below (at no charge of course) lol
