Quit Stealing the Pen

God is still writing your story; quit trying to steal the pen

Hello my friends and welcome to Saturday! I pray that this week went well for all of you and you are closer to Jesus than ever before. If you don’t know Jesus as Savior today, please run to Him and accept His free (to you) gift of Salvation while you still have the choice to make, Amen?

Ok so I posted this quote this week and got a really good response from it so I thought I would expand upon my thoughts on this today. Sound good?

Stealing the pen…many believe that there is no point in making plans and setting a course for your life because things are already predetermined and nothing you or I do will make a difference. That could not be further from the truth this morning. Stay with me here and really soak in this next sentence and commit it to memory..

**Just because God knows the choices you will make does not take away the opportunity you have to make those choices**

David Fischer

The first lie is that you have no real choices; the second lie is that God doesn’t really care or He is not moving fast enough so you need to take back control of your life (steal the pen from God). You do all understand that God created EVERYTHING in the Universe right? You understand that God made you from dust into the sophisticated, complex, unbelievable creation that you have become right? So why in the world would you want to give up that direction and take your own? How well as it worked so far?

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10

Friends, God is, always has been, and always will be in control of everything that is going on in His Creation. Unfortunately, the free will He has given us we take and mess things up. The reason we have this free will is God wanted us to love Him not by force but by CHOICE. Again, He knows what our choice will be, yet we still can make the choice. Today, make the choice to give back the pen of life to Jesus. He knows more about you than you ever will; He knew you before you were even created so of course He will have the best plans and the best paths for your life. Trust Him to do for you what you simply cannot do for yourself.

Give up the pen; in fact, give it up and NEVER take it back. The God of all Creation is just waiting to write your next Great Chapter. I promise you, it will be a best seller….

Radically Saved

I am going to let what John Cooper stated the other day speak for itself; we would be wise to heed his words..(And listen to his music, just saying)

Blessings!

Ok I’m saying it. Because it’s too important not to. What is happening in Christianity? More and more of our outspoken leaders or influencers who were once “faces” of the faith are falling away. And at the same time they are being very vocal and bold about it. Shockingly they still want to influence others (for what purpose?)as they announce that they are leaving the faith. I’ll state my conclusion, then I’ll state some rebuttals to statements I’ve read by some of them. Firstly, I never judge people outside of my faith. Even if they hate religion or Christianity. That is not my place and I have many friends who disagree with my religion and that is 100% fine…

That is not my place and I have many friends who disagree with my religion and that is 100% fine with me. However, when it comes to people within my faith, there must be a measure of loyalty and friendship and accountability to each other and the Word of God.

John Cooper

“My conclusion for the church (all of us Christians): We must STOP making worship leaders and thought leaders or influencers or cool people or “relevant” people the most influential people in Christendom. (And yes that includes people like me!) I’ve been saying for 20 years(and seemed probably quite judgmental to some of my peers) that we are in a dangerous place when the church is looking to 20 year old worship singers as our source of truth. We now have a church culture that learns who God is from singing modern praise songs rather than from the teachings of the Word. I’m not being rude to my worship leader friends (many who would agree with me) in saying that singers and musicians are good at communicating emotion and feeling. We create a moment and a vehicle for God to speak. However, singers are not always the best people to write solid bible truth and doctrine. Sometimes we are too young, too ignorant of scripture, too unaware, or too unconcerned about the purity of scripture and the holiness of the God we are singing to. Have you ever considered the disrespect of singing songs to God that are untrue of His character?

John Cooper

“I have a few specific thoughts and rebuttals to statements made by recently disavowed church influencers…first of all, I am stunned that the seemingly most important thing for these leaders who have lost their faith is to make such a bold new stance. Basically saying, “I’ve been living and preaching boldly something for 20 years and led generations of people with my teachings and now I no longer believe it..therefore I’m going to boldly and loudly tell people it was all wrong while I boldly and loudly lead people in to my next truth.” I’m perplexed why they aren’t embarrassed? Humbled? Ashamed, fearful, confused? Why be so eager to continue leading people when you clearly don’t know where you are headed?

John Cooper

“My second thought is, why do people act like “being real” covers a multitude of sins? As if someone is courageous simply for sharing virally every thought or dark place. That’s not courageous. It’s cavalier. Have they considered the ramifications? As if they are the harbingers of truth, saying “I used to think one way and practice it and preach it, but now I’ve learned all the new truth and will start practicing and preaching it.” So the influencers become the voice for truth in whatever stage of life and whatever evolution takes place in their thinking.

John Cooper

“Thirdly, there is a common thread running through these leaders/influencers that basically says that “no one else is talking about the REAL stuff.” This is just flatly false. I just read today in a renown worship leader’s statement, “How could a God of love send people to hell? No one talks about it.” As if he is the first person to ask this? Brother, you are not that unique. The church has wrestled with this for 1500 years. Literally. Everybody talks about it. Children talk about it in Sunday school. There’s like a billion books written on the topic. Just because you don’t get the answer you want doesn’t mean that we are unwilling to wrestle with it. We wrestle with scripture until we are transformed by the renewing of our minds.

John Cooper

“And lastly, and most shocking imo, as these influencers disavow their faith, they always end their statements with their “new insight/new truth” that is basically a regurgitation of Jesus’s words?! It’s truly bizarre and ironic. They’ll say “I’m disavowing my faith but remember, love people, be generous, forgive others”. Ummm, why? That is actually not human nature. No child is ever born and says “I just want to love others before loving myself. I want to turn the other cheek. I want to give my money away to others in need”. Those are bible principles taught by a prophet/Priest/king of kings who wants us to live by a higher standard which is not an earthly standard, but rather the ‘Kingdom of God’ standard. Therefore if Jesus is not the truth and if the Word of God is not absolute, then by preaching Jesus’s teachings you are endorsing the words of a madman. A lunatic who said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.” He also said that he was alive before Abraham, and to see him was to see God because he was one with God. So why then would a disavowed christian leader promote that “generosity is good”? How would you know “what is good” without Jesus’s teachings? And will your ideas of what is “good” be different from year to year based on your experience, culture trends, poplular opinion etc and furthermore will you continue year by year to lead others into your idea of goodness even though it is not absolute? I’m amazed that so many Christians want the benefits of the kingdom of God, but with the caveat that they themselves will be the King.

John Cooper

“It is time for the church to rediscover the preeminence of the Word. And to value the teaching of the Word. We need to value truth over feeling. Truth over emotion. And what we are seeing now is the result of the church raising up influencers who did not supremely value truth who have led a generation who also do not believe in the supremacy of truth. And now those disavowed leaders are proudly still leading and influencing boldly AWAY from the truth.

John Cooper

“Is it any wonder that some of our disavowed Christian leaders are letting go of the absolute truth of the Bible and subsequently their lives are falling apart? Further and further they are sinking in the sea all the while shouting “now I’ve found the truth! Follow me!!” Brothers and sisters in the faith all around the world, pastors, teachers, worship leaders, influencers…I implore you, please please in your search for relevancy for the gospel, let us NOT find creative ways to shape Gods word into the image of our culture by stifling inconvenient truths. But rather let us hold on even tighter to the anchor of the living Word of God. For He changes NOT. “The grass withers and the flowers fade away, but the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8)”

Social Media Fighting

Hello my friends and welcome to another Saturday! As I wrote last week, I have changed my post frequency to once a week here on WordPress so I can focus my writing and ideas to sharpen my content rather than just putting a bunch of stuff out there for “views”. I pray that all of you had a great week and now can enjoy some down time with friends and family.

Before I get started, in my https://youtu.be/ru2HgJERGBQ video and in some of my https://twitter.com/David_Fischer71 posts, I challenged each of you to do the following steps each day when waking up..

  1. Before your feet hit the floor, thank God for another day He has given you breath.
  2. Go drink a full glass of water to rehydrate your body.
  3. Before looking at your phone, go think of three things that you are thankful for.

So how did you do? Where you able to do all three? Maybe just one or two? If you have, let me know in the comments below how it effected your day. If not, I highly encourage you to start your day off this way; it WILL make a difference in how your day goes I promise you that. More tips to come in future tweets and videos so stay tuned! Now on to today’s topic…

Man has Social Media opened up opportunities to get our voices heard huh? In the past to get your name or ideas out there, one would have to become a celebrity or politician, etc. Now with the inventions of Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, anyone with an internet connection can say pretty much anything they want to anyone; most times without any repercussion. Agreed?

This isn’t a bad thing in and of itself because in a way it puts us all on the same level for getting our voices (or words) heard and seen. The problem is though that it has now gotten a bit out of control.

Driven by the completely corrupt media (Yes even Fox News) social media has become a place where 99 percent of the time people only report on negativity. That too would be ok as to bring evil things to light but most of the time we don’t even know if its true or not! We post things without researching them all in the hopes to get a bunch of “likes” or “retweets” to get people to notice them. It just doesn’t stop there either..

Once we post these negative stories or comments, then the online fighting begins. No one stops to take in what is written, we just immediately slam back with rude and hurtful comments for the whole world to see; and that is just from the Christian accounts, you should see the secular ones….

Yes, fellow Christians, we do it…don’t act shocked that I’m bringing it up…

Point? No matter what people may say, they are searching for 2 things; Truth and Positivity. That is why the world is in the state that it is friends; you know the old song, “Looking for love in all the wrong places”? Still applies today. People are tired of the negativity, tired of all the evil that is going on in the world. Problem is that they don’t know where to find anything else. Let’s help them out shall we? How do we do that? I will give you these three steps to start..

  1. When you post online, try and keep it uplifting and positive.
  2. People will always try and flood your post with negative comments; you DON”T HAVE TO RESPOND. Let people see the evil first hand and let God deal with them.
  3. Speak Truth! The Word of God NEVER returns void. It is not up to us for the results, only up to us to give the message.

Friends, just like money, Social Media is not evil; only in how we use it. Let us use this enormous resource God has given us to speak His Word to the whole world. Are we not living in the time where quite literally the entire planet can hear about the saving Grace of Jesus Christ? Put away the memes and the instigating comments and share what God has to say; souls are in the balance….

Love and blessings to you all!

If you have been blessed by this message, please reblog and share with others today! Also, please consider following my Twitter and YouTube accounts by clicking on the links above. Thank you all for your support!

New Direction

Hello everyone and welcome to Saturday! I want to thank all of you for your prayers as it would seem that this virus I have had for seemingly forever is finally gone. They are calling it a “Summer Virus”; I have another name for it but that wouldn’t be so nice. Anyway, thank you again as the power of prayer is so needed and appreciated.

New direction…when I started this blog a couple of years ago, I had one subject matter on my heart. To show people just how corrupt the Church has become and how far we have strayed from the intent of why Jesus established the Church to begin with…While I still look upon the American Church as more of a business than a Spiritual refuge and place for souls to be won, I feel as if the time has come to change directions in my message.

Why? Well I have come to the conclusion that there is enough reporting on the bad in the world and it is time to start telling people about the good. Sure, the Church needs work but the Church is not the Gospel, nor does it save us from an eternity in hell, Jesus does! Why not tell THAT story? Why not tell the world how He took someone as pitiful and corrupt as me and offered eternal life both in the one to come and to an extent even now?

I have been listening to a lot of motivational speakers recently and no matter the subject that they are talking about, there is one thing in common…People are desperate for good news. They are tired of living in depression, anxiety, suffering, and never being able to be the person that they know they could be; they are simply looking for Truth. That is the type of content you can expect from me going forward; except the Truth that I speak will one of sound Biblical principles that will hopefully provide the answers people are so desperately seeking.

Friends, I thank you so much for continuing this journey with me; especially as it takes a new turn. With that said, I will only be posting a blog post once a week. I will continue though to put daily content on my Twitter (@David_Fischer71) and Instagram (@david_a_fischer71) so please join me there as well.

To God Be The Glory and have a blessed and productive Saturday!

Non-Negotiables

Today’s message will be quick but maybe not painless. There are a few “non-negotiables” when it comes to my faith in Jesus Christ that are not open for discussion. So much so that I am not even willing to have debate on these for if any of these are changed even in the slightest, the bedrock on which our faith is built no longer exists. Here they go.

  1. God is the Creator of all things that exist.
  2. God created the world in six actual days.
  3. God created the world without sin; WE (Adam and Eve) brought it upon ourselves.
  4. God still so loved His Creation that He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty WE should have paid; He paid it by dying crucified to an actual Cross in Calvary.
  5. Jesus laid in the tomb for 3 days before He rose again.
  6. After His resurrection, He walked among His people for a time and then ascended to the right hand of the Father.
  7. One day, at a time only known by the Father, Jesus will come again to judge the Earth and restore things how they were intended to be.
  8. The Bible is the inerrant Word of God, written by man but inspired by God. (I am willing to discuss translation issues as the Bible we read today is not in the same format it originally was, however, it is still the Word of God and the only source of Truth for how God calls us to live as well as all other aspects of why we are here.)
  9. Marriage was designed to be between One Man and One Woman.
  10. There is a very real place that awaits God’s people after we die called Heaven. There is also a very real place that awaits those who reject Him called Hell. Both places are eternal and will not be changed.

Again, for me, these basics are not open for discussion. If after reading this you choose not to be a part of my ministry, that’s ok. I for one, however, am tired of seeing the Church community divided on basic Godly Principles so I am making a stand.

Hope you all continue to serve with me!

David
