New Direction

Hello everyone and welcome to Saturday! I want to thank all of you for your prayers as it would seem that this virus I have had for seemingly forever is finally gone. They are calling it a “Summer Virus”; I have another name for it but that wouldn’t be so nice. Anyway, thank you again as the power of prayer is so needed and appreciated.

New direction…when I started this blog a couple of years ago, I had one subject matter on my heart. To show people just how corrupt the Church has become and how far we have strayed from the intent of why Jesus established the Church to begin with…While I still look upon the American Church as more of a business than a Spiritual refuge and place for souls to be won, I feel as if the time has come to change directions in my message.

Why? Well I have come to the conclusion that there is enough reporting on the bad in the world and it is time to start telling people about the good. Sure, the Church needs work but the Church is not the Gospel, nor does it save us from an eternity in hell, Jesus does! Why not tell THAT story? Why not tell the world how He took someone as pitiful and corrupt as me and offered eternal life both in the one to come and to an extent even now?

I have been listening to a lot of motivational speakers recently and no matter the subject that they are talking about, there is one thing in common…People are desperate for good news. They are tired of living in depression, anxiety, suffering, and never being able to be the person that they know they could be; they are simply looking for Truth. That is the type of content you can expect from me going forward; except the Truth that I speak will one of sound Biblical principles that will hopefully provide the answers people are so desperately seeking.

Friends, I thank you so much for continuing this journey with me; especially as it takes a new turn. With that said, I will only be posting a blog post once a week. I will continue though to put daily content on my Twitter (@David_Fischer71) and Instagram (@david_a_fischer71) so please join me there as well.

To God Be The Glory and have a blessed and productive Saturday!

David

Non-Negotiables

Today’s message will be quick but maybe not painless. There are a few “non-negotiables” when it comes to my faith in Jesus Christ that are not open for discussion. So much so that I am not even willing to have debate on these for if any of these are changed even in the slightest, the bedrock on which our faith is built no longer exists. Here they go.

  1. God is the Creator of all things that exist.
  2. God created the world in six actual days.
  3. God created the world without sin; WE (Adam and Eve) brought it upon ourselves.
  4. God still so loved His Creation that He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty WE should have paid; He paid it by dying crucified to an actual Cross in Calvary.
  5. Jesus laid in the tomb for 3 days before He rose again.
  6. After His resurrection, He walked among His people for a time and then ascended to the right hand of the Father.
  7. One day, at a time only known by the Father, Jesus will come again to judge the Earth and restore things how they were intended to be.
  8. The Bible is the inerrant Word of God, written by man but inspired by God. (I am willing to discuss translation issues as the Bible we read today is not in the same format it originally was, however, it is still the Word of God and the only source of Truth for how God calls us to live as well as all other aspects of why we are here.)
  9. Marriage was designed to be between One Man and One Woman.
  10. There is a very real place that awaits God’s people after we die called Heaven. There is also a very real place that awaits those who reject Him called Hell. Both places are eternal and will not be changed.

Again, for me, these basics are not open for discussion. If after reading this you choose not to be a part of my ministry, that’s ok. I for one, however, am tired of seeing the Church community divided on basic Godly Principles so I am making a stand.

Hope you all continue to serve with me!

Short and Sweet

I guess the picture says it all right? No messing around this morning, no beating around the bush, getting right to it.

There have been days where I think to myself, I can’t honestly believe that people think the way that they do. Not to say I know everything because that couldn’t be farther from the truth but do Christians even actually read the Bible anymore? Or is everything just a “pick out the best scenario to fit my agenda” game? Again, short and to the point so here are my thoughts for your reading pleasure..

  • NO ONE comes to the true saving grace and eternal gift of life by putting them down and telling them their actions are leading them to hell. NO ONE. I didn’t and anyone that tells you they did, well, I would have my doubts.

  • Only when we DEMONSTRATE the love of Christ will unbelievers start to question why we act the way we do and desire that life as well. Jesus left us plenty of examples of this yet we choose to ignore them..

  • We are NOT to judge the WORLD. The Scriptures call us to judge the CHURCH! Yes folks the CHURCH! Yet more times than not all I see is the judgement of the LGBTQ community, Democrats, insert favorite sin here..you get it. GOD will judge the world no, ifs, and’s or buts.

  • Finally, we are called to love our enemies…Boy do we hate that one. I really pray that social media is not a true measuring stick of where we are at in that one because if so…..we got problems

Friends….I can’t say it any clearer. You want to win souls to Jesus? Figure out His love first. If you don’t know how to love like Jesus did and does, start there. Its ok to reboot, better to reboot and do things the right way instead of having to explain to the King of Kings why you felt the need to keep doing HIS job instead of what He called you to do…

Blessings,

David

Random Thought

If you are calling yourself a Christian you need not be perfect but you do need to be consistent in your beliefs, I see way too many Pastors, “Men and Women of God” berating people and groups of people that they disagree with. Do you not remember one of Jesus’ greatest teachings to love your enemies? What kind of witness are you portraying to people with this kind of rhetoric? Are you so great that you can now throw the first stone? Its not biblical and you all should know better.

There is a way to stand up for your beliefs and do it in love. End of story. BE BETTER!
