“Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ]‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.“- Luke 17:20-21
Good morning again everyone! As I write this everything in my flesh is saying “don’t write it, they will misunderstand you!” However this is too important and too vital in our walk so hopefully this message will be clear….
Through this valley my Bride and I have been on lately, God has begun teaching me something that I know in my heart I was not ready to hear until now. I have always wondered why it is that every time I seem to really get somewhere in my walk with God, I always fall. I mean I know that we are not perfect and there will be bumps in the road, but it always seemed like I was on a “Gerbil Wheel” if you will; always riding in the same circle but never really getting anywhere..Can anyone relate??
Until about a month ago when God introduced me to the above Scripture. In the past I always thought people used this to elevate themselves and not God. Funny thing about that, (and again before we jump to conclusions on what I mean, please ask), funny because the whole thing really does start with us! How so? Well, we have heard this verse a million times right?
- “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me”- (Galatians 2:20)
So, stay with me here..If it is we that no longer live but Christ that lives within me, what does that say about us? It says that once we give ourselves to Christ, HE RESIDES WITHIN US. It means that if we are going to truly Be That Light for others, we must understand that now, through Christ, WE have become that light as well! There is a great eternity to come, but we can live part of that eternity right now!
Friends, we alone are incapable of doing anything good and right and just. It must come from the Trinity and each of its amazing parts. We must give ourselves fully and completely to Him and in turn shed the fear of failure, shed that self doubt, and see us now as God sees us! As warriors and now with the ability to truly love others and Be That Light!
Let go of this world and the “protection” that it offers; truly be free today and give your life to Jesus. Then let the scales fall!!
