Unity

Hello everyone and welcome to Saturday. First and foremost I want to offer prayers for our friends in California. Another earthquake struck yesterday that was even more powerful than the first one. I dire to think what may be coming next but I would hope that all reading this would join me in prayer for a hedge of protection for all involved. (In other words, save the judgmental comments about the state.) Excellent!

Unity….I am convinced this is the only way we move forward at all. Now before you offer me Scripture about how Jesus came to bring a sword not peace, let me say two things.

  1. WE ARE NOT JESUS CHRIST. God and His Son and have their purpose and we have ours. Don’t know what that is? Read the Beatitudes; especially this one..”Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”- Matthew 5:9
  2. Read number 1.

I see so much division, anger, and judgment coming from my fellow believers and it breaks my heart and the heart of Christ. I understand how evil the world has gotten and how tempting it is to want to attack back, but we will never bring people to Christ by acting like the world. We must be the difference, else how to we have any hope of fulfilling the Great Commission?

Or have we ourselves become instruments of the evil one and don’t care about saving souls anymore? Hmmm. How different are we then than who we oppose?

So where do we start? How about LISTENING for a change and stop talking. If we can connect with even one person and get them on the path to salvation, is it not worth it? Be still, listen, and offer love and comfort. Yes, offer Truth but first listen. Make sense?

Friends, I know the world is spiraling seemingly out of control, but we still have work to do. Let God be God and do the work WE were assigned. Stop confusing our role with His. Be the Light! Amen?

Love and Blessings,

David

Radically Saved

Galatians 5:24 “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.”

What have you done with your passions and desires?

Where will you go when you die?

Very powerful testimony here. Reblogging for my peeps.

A person can get sober after being an addict, a person can do great things to help others, a person can just be a good person in general But if they do not have Jesus Christ, they will go to hell sober, they will go to hell doing great things and they will go to hell being a good person. It’s only by the Grace of God that you are saved and not by works. You cannot get into Heaven just on being a good person. The only way is through the Lord Jesus Christ.

When I came to Christ back in 2005 I had a very powerful testimony. The day I gave my life over to Jesus Christ, I was praying and God showed me a vision of Jesus on the cross. I could not see His face but I saw Him and it absolutely blew me away!! Then…

Get Things Off Your Chest

Hello everyone. Ever have this feeling of guilt over something you have done? Is it starting to overwhelm you and feel like a 100 pound weight on your chest?

We must first always confess what we have done to God but the Scriptures also tell us that confessing that to another brings healing!

So today if that weight on your chest is almost more than you can bear, give it to God then find a trusted brother or sister in Christ and have a talk with them as well. It’s time to let that weight go! Amen?

Unbelievable!

Back in July when I started this blog, I never would have thought that over 500 people would be following the message that God has given me. It truly is a blessing and again, thank you all so much for your love, support, and prayers. Tomorrow we dig a little deeper into this whole Sin discussion. 😉
