Thursday Devotion

Happy Thursday everyone! Oh this is a big one! I think everyone is guilty of this one all the time. From the language we use to gossiping about others, our tongues always seem to get us in trouble. Who can relate this morning?

I had a conversation once with someone who found no problem with always dropping the F-bomb. (I’m as quilt as anyone for using it when I get stressed) Their argument was that it is just another word and my counter to them was “you just don’t understand the power that words have”.

Whether good or bad, our words have an everlasting effect on others and ourselves. Today, let our words bring life to others, Amen? Could our world not use a little life?

Oh what a different world we would live in if we followed this simple lesson. Thanks Lebana! Sharing with my peeps. ❤️🙏

Speech

Happy Monday everyone!

The first part of this verse talks about not using foul and abusive language which most people use to defend not using cuss words. That is very true and we should really get back to speaking with some class but more important than that is the real premise behind the verse; use your words to uplift and encourage rather than to demean and divide.

Do we not see enough of this today? Let’s do our part in turning the tide. Have a great day friends!
