Unsure…

Hadn’t talked to my Dad in 11 years. We had a bad falling out. Found out tonight he died back in 2014. Not sure how to feel tonight..

Might not be a another post for a few days; need to process this…

Something WAY Different

Ok so almost all my blog posts are Spiritual in nature and I have no disillusions that I will write anything else on a permanent basis but I thought I would try something WAY different tonight. A little snapshot into my life right now…

As some of you know, my wife and I moved in with her parents to help them out financially so that they wouldn’t lose their home. I mean, its the Jesus thing to do right? So with that said, please understand that I was raised in a extremely strict home when it comes to table manners. No elbows, chew with your mouth shut, you know the drill. There were two things though that would have gotten me slaughtered quite literally at the table which for some reason my in laws do and it makes me die a little each time.

1. Burping and farting at the table.

2 (And this is the biggie); I literally saw my Grandfather almost beat someone up in an restaurant once for this…BLOWING YOUR NOSE. I mean who doesn’t want to see some good ole snot with their food.

I told you this would be different; please help! How do I combat this??

Agape Love,

David

Change…

Good morning friends and Happy Saturday! I hope all of you are enjoying some well deserved time off and able to relax a bit. Clear your mind and recharge the batteries so to speak.

I titled this post Change because it has become ever increasingly clear that my time blogging is done…..(Just kidding, seeing who is awake). No, it has become increasingly clear that while one of my biggest passions is to see people changed that are being deceived by lies and Scriptures taken out of context to further an agenda, there is a greater need right now; a need that will see a shift in my writing and hopefully in my actions as well.

I have talked to so many of you that are suffering from depression and depression related symptoms that I understand now the last thing you need is someone telling you what is wrong with our faith and instead tell you everything that is RIGHT. How can you possibly gather any hope from people that constantly tell you how bad things are or only point out the negative side of things. These folks need HOPE, they need a LIGHT, and most of all they need the saving message of Jesus Christ. Yes, sometimes that still comes with a warning or a “calling out” as I like to call it, but how many times did Jesus do that throughout His ministry here? There were a few times but for the most part He only conveyed love and His message of how not only is there a great Kingdom to come but that through Him you can experience that Kingdom here NOW.

What if instead of handing out medicine to everyone, we got back to TRULY praying for folks and casting out those demons in Jesus’ name? What if instead of constantly posting about how bad things are we replace that with all that is GOOD about HIM. See, my opinion on things really doesn’t matter; its all about Jesus and His teaching and His message. I like all of you are simply a vessel for that message. So what message are we giving? One of HOPE or one of DESPAIR? I must confess that looking back many of mine have been of despair. That needs to change; it needs to change to change from all of us that call ourselves Christ followers.

Friends, we have two choice in our mission; we can be like that guy ^^^^^^^^^^^^ and condemn others with a misguided interpretation of the OT, or we can be like Jesus and offer the message of Truth, Love, and Grace. I will be trying my best to focus on the second option. What say all of you?

Blessings, Peace, and Grace,

David
