The Deception the World Craves

Deceived

Hello everyone….

I welcome you to a world that needs its eyes opened; a world that has so much waiting for it but desires not to have it; a world that wants to be deceived….

Joshua 1:8– “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

I have come to a conclusion about the world today and it is not good. I used to think that people ultimately were craving to be good people and desired to be something bigger than themselves. I was wrong…..

People now are BEGGING to be deceived! They love to live against all of God’s plan and look for any way they can to avoid the Truth. So many “self-help” guru’s out there with the greatest of plans on how you can be successful and live a prosperous life but avoid the true way to do it. You think because you make 100k a year and have a beach house you are successful? Wrong, you have been deceived…And you love every minute of it.

I say deceived because if you truly knew what greatness was in store for you by giving yourself to Christ, you would run as far as you could from the things of this world, yet instead you cling onto these things like a baby does its mama. You try new skills; you cling on to your money and your ways, you pick and choose who you love, you hoard your earthly riches as if you could take them with you into eternity..oh you deceitful craving generation…

As I type this today I pray that your eyes would be opened; that God would do whatever is necessary to wake you up from the slumber of deception that you so crave every day. Right now the Enemy has you in chains, are you enjoying the slavery? Do you want true success and freedom? Give yourself to the Light, throw away the things of this world or suffer the result of your sinful cravings of deception.

As always the choice is yours.. chose wisely…your time is almost up….

What Will You Find?

Proverbs 21:21 -“Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honor.”

What is it that you are pursuing? That is what will determine what you will ultimately achieve in this life and in the next.

Stop The Evil

DID THE PICTURE GET YOUT ATTENTION? Good! Because I have some real talk for my fellow Christ Followers today. I might lose some of you but, well, you know me; Truth must be told….

“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

First thing; do you love your enemies? I mean REALLY love them? Why not? Is that not what the Son of God has commanded us to do? Let’s get a few things clear..

1. Before you became a Christ follower you too were an enemy of God. At some point someone loved you enough to show you the love of Jesus Christ. Have you paid it forward?

2. The world hates us, especially right now. Does that give us the right to lash back in equal or more hatred? “Do good to those who hate you“- Seems pretty clear does it not?

3. Yes sins effect us differently, but there is no one sin worse than the other. Sin is sin and even though you have Jesus as your Savior, your sins are no less destructive than your enemy. The only difference is that through God’s Amazing Grace, through Jesus Christ, you have been forgiven and your sins are blotted out through His sacrifice.

Not because of any good I have done but only through His power, I have gained a lot of followers in the Social Media world, especially on Twitter. You know what I have noticed? You know who seems to have the least amount of love and good works going on? Us, Christ followers….Yes we are REALLY good at showing love to those that think and regurgitate exactly what we believe and say, however when someone that believes differently than we do, look out! And the minute a lost soul makes a comment, well, it was as if the words of Jesus were, “Hate all those that don’t follow Me”, “Insult those that insult you”, “Don’t do to others as you would have done to you”.

Clearly the Scriptures call us to do the exact opposite. How different would the world be if we allowed ourselves to follow this passage exactly as written? How many more people would start listening not to US, but to HIM. Friends, if we react like the world reacts , what exactly is the point? How will the lost ever see the Light of Jesus? Today, make the effort to show true Agape Love to those that hate you, those that insult you, and those that take from you.

Be more like Jesus and not like the picture above…..

Blessings,

David
